What is Auracast and Bluetooth LE Audio?

Frequently Asked Questions

Most Bluetooth-enabled Apple and android devices are compatible with danalogic NHS hearing aids. If you are unsure, you can ask your audiologist or check if your device is compatible.

If your smartphone or tablet is not compatible but is Bluetooth-enabled, you can still stream wirelessly from it to your danalogic NHS hearing aids using a Phone Clip+. This is a small electronic device that connects to your smart device and hearing aids to stream the sound and allows for two way calling. In addition to steaming audio, the Phone Clip+ can be used as a remote control. So you can adjust the volume or scroll between programs on your danalogic NHS hearing aids, without even touching them.DanalogicGN. User Guide Phone Clip+. 400227245GB-18.07-Rev.B. Your audiologist may refer to the Phone Clip+ as a ‘wireless accessory’. It’s part of a whole family of wireless devices that can help you to get the best out of your NHS hearing aids.

Before you can start using the Bluetooth features of your danalogic NHS hearing aids you need to link them with your device. This is often referred to as ‘pairing’.   1. Turn your hearing aids off.
  2. Turn on Bluetooth by going to the ‘Settings’ menu on your Apple device. The slider turns green when you activate Bluetooth.
  3. Go back to the main ‘Settings’ menu and then, tap on ‘Accessibility’.
  4. Scroll down to ‘Hearing Devices’.
  5. Turn your hearing aids on. Now, your Apple device will be able to detect your hearing aids.
  6. Tap on ‘Pair’. If you have two hearing aids, you will need to ‘accept’ twice.
  7. Go to the App Store and search for the ‘BeMore’ app.
  8. Download the BeMore app, open it and tap ‘Get Started’.
  9. Follow the instructions on the screen to connect to the app. You are now ready to go!

Before you can start using the Bluetooth features of your danalogic NHS hearing aids, you need to link them with your device. This is often referred to as ‘pairing’. To pair your hearing aids to an Android device, please follow these instructions:1,3

  1. Go to the Google Play Store, search for the ‘BeMore’ app and download it.
  2. Once downloaded, open the app and tap ‘Get Started’.
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen to connect. You are now ready to go!

If one or both of your hearing aids have been replaced, you will need to pair them to your smart device.

For Apple products:

  1. Start by removing the old hearing aids by going to the ‘Settings’ menu.
  2. Scroll down and select ‘Accessibility’.
  3. Select ‘Hearing Devices’.
  4. Tap on your hearing aids, scroll down, and tap on ‘Forget this device’.
  5. Turn your new hearing aids off and on again and press pair. You will need to do this twice if you are wearing two hearing aids.

For Android products:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to open the ‘Settings’ menu, then hold the Bluetooth icon for 2 seconds.
  2. Hold the settings icon for ‘Hearing Aids’ for 2 seconds.
  3. Select ‘Forget’.
  4. Open the ‘BeMore’ menu.
  5. Select ‘Pair new hearing aids’ then follow step 2 above.

As with any new technology, people may feel nervous about using Bluetooth until it has been categorically proven as “safe”.
